Why do I see my proxy or VPN IP?
We identify the public source of the current connection. With a proxy or VPN, this is usually its exit address.
Why is there an IP but no city?
Some addresses have only country or network information, or no location record. Missing information is stated explicitly; cities are not guessed.
How do I update after switching networks?
Select Check again. The source IP is detected fresh on every request; location information for the same IP may be cached for up to 5 minutes.
What if the check fails?
Check your network and retry. If location is unavailable, a successfully detected IP is still shown. Failure to identify the source is reported explicitly.
